Legacy Infinite: Resilience, Day 4

Today was a day to take control.  Both our winners today led from start to finish.  In a match up that’s turning into quite a rivalry, Hakuna Matata topped Dead Game 74-68.  E-Smoove in what has been his motto all season was (AB) All Business!  Dropping a season high 36 points to go with 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 6 steals and 2 blocks.  He was able to score at will and showed no mercy.  Again, nothing personal; strictly business.

The Lil’ Giant, Young Frost also put up a season high 21 points along with 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 steals and 2 block; a nice one-two punch.  Geezy contributed (9 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 block) and the rest of the team was solid in what is the deepest team in the tournament.  And if they continue to play as they did today, they’ll be hard to beat.

Heart-N-Soul (28 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals) left it all on the court as usual.  El Concrete (12 points, 7 rebounds) and Pitt Bull (10 points, 7 rebounds) brought mad intensity, but Dead Game was simply outplayed today.

In the 2nd game the undefeated Apocalypse battled winless TTTB, led by new interim coach and former All-World baller, J-Rock.  And now TTTB is no longer winless and Apocalypse is no longer undefeated.  Tone “Wild Thing” Loc (18 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, 3 blocks) led a balanced attack.  And Silk Money did his thing (13 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 steals, 2 blocks).

The Hill Top Hustler brought pure game, hitting for (12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 block) and made it look easy.  And The Carpenter turned into The Carpenter, making his presence felt in the paint with 11 points and a season high 18 Grown Man Boards!

The final score was 61-55, but it wasn’t that close.  Congratulations on a job well done to Coach J-Rock and TTTB.

For Apocalypse, The Phenom has his numbers (32 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals), but Apocalypse simply could not match TTTB’s intensity today.  Curiously silent was 4-0-9, last season’s rookie sensation.  He had 4 points and 6 rebounds; not the numbers we’ve grown accustomed to seeing from him.

But today is only one chapter of a saga that will only get better as it unfolds…
